12/20/2023 0 Comments Kingdom hearts nushell![]() ![]() I'm not going to that world any time soon." Baldr stated. "I guess this is what happens if we were to go by World Order" Urd muttered. "Wow, what I couldn't wish that I wasn't there" Axel said as water was not his element. "Is this what you have to go through?" Riku asked at the pouting Sora. "Oh my Kingdom Hearts, someone take a picture of this." Xigbar cackled. It was then nearly everyone begins to laugh at Sora's predicament. ![]() "I want to die." Sora mentally thought as soon as he saw that he has a fist tail. "I have to admit, I must thank Maleficent for giving me Riku as a vessel during that time." Ansem, Seeker of DARKNESS, said.ĭuring Sora, Goofy, and Donald's adventure, they visited more worlds like the Deep Jungle, Enchanted Domain, Olympus Coliseum, Agrabah, Neverland, and Halloween Town. ![]() "Like I said, I wasn't thinking at that time and also didn't even thought of it clearly" Riku defended himself. Sora, Kairi, Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Roxas, Xion, Axel, Isa, Hayner, Olette, Pence, and Namine looked at Riku with a look that said "Seriously?" "I see nothing wrong with that." Riku said. "I will now give you the power to control the Heartless." "Also, Karrie's Heart has been taken by the Heartless." Maleficent explained as Riku looked at Kairi's unconscious body in Captain Hook's cabin in the Jolly Roger. ".that was not my best moments nor my happiest memory." There's also Scala Ad Caelum, but we explore and knwo so little of it that it's hard to be as excited for it.Marluxia, who had once encountered Maleficent, glared at the screen as he clenched his hand. It finished the war setup in DDD, gave closure to the fate of the BBS/Days characters (and ofc Repliku), and opened back up the future of the Foretellers and other KHuX stuff. Everything else for Kh3 exists only to tie up loose ends from other media and set up for others still. And even that was only briefly explored and ultimately teased for future ventures due to the "Nameless Star". Kh3 brought nothing truly new to the table, except for the concept of the Final World. ![]() it also does the best retcon of realizing nobodies do indeed have hearts And finally, even DDD at least dabbles a bit into a different realm that are sleeping realms, as well as intoducing a new abilty for a keyblade warrior. Then you have BBS introducing the concept of a keyblade society, as well as the villian proper. KH1 is KH1, and KH2 brought new dynamics to the mix by formally introducing the concept of nobodies. she's out and active, she's shown her feats off while clearly having internal weaknesses to overcome, and even before all that she already has a very obvious relationship with Kairi that we saw for ourselves back in BBS. This is partially why I'm excited to potentially see Aqua in a tutoring position. His exam seems to go the opposite way of Yen Sid in wondering what the point is (light balls? why?) Seeing more of his personality and relationship before the end game would have made for a stronger emotional punch. his training style and methodology, and his relationship with Terra in particular (I'll assume Xehanort friendship is happening in Dark Road). Yen Sid probably did some turoring to mickey in BBS, but never does anything to suggest "training" to Sora and Riku, to whom he became the defacto teacher to.Įraqus clearly trained the BBS trio, but there's so many aspects of him that are only implied and never shown. I don't mind the master stuff, but it gets so unexplored in the actual story. Now that Sora and Riku got cut off from the rest of the cast fire a while, I'm hoping the Quadratum game will feel fresh. The series just had more sense of adventure and mystery when it was more about the protagonist's personal and individual adventure. I don't get why the guardians of light needs to be dependent of him so much, even though he's largely useless. Yensid was fine in KH2 as a "cool retired old master that only appear once" trope, but after that he gets too many agency in the plot. Formal ranking and politics are not important for Sora's adventure and character and never will be. Adventuring and leveling up by myself is far more bigger experience than all this "Master" stuff, especially when most of the Masters are unimpressive to begin with. In the end the series is largely about making friends and smacking stuff in Disney worlds and then go to a white-haired original final boss. Yensid and all the Master rank stuff ruined the series imo. ![]()
